I love being a momma. There is nothing else I would rather being doing with my life. I love when my daughter throws her head back and laughs, or when I get a random hug, simply because she hasn’t decided which part of my house she is going to destroy next. It is absolutely the most amazing feeling in the world. BUT, it is challenging. It is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. And I know many people may roll their eyes at that thinking “Seriously? How hard can it really be??”
Let me explain.
Sure, the day to day chores (changing diapers, feeding, bathing, laundry etc.) are not that difficult. Many possess the skill set required to complete these tasks. But have you ever attempted them whilst running on 2 (maybe) hours of sleep without caffeine? Or tested the limits on how long a human adult can go without showering, not because you want to, but because you just don’t have the time/energy? Not to mention it is your job shape and mold this tiny being into a smart, loving and compassionate member of society. How does that happen? Yeah, I’d like to know, too.
I don’t have all of the answers, but I do have stories, tips and a shadow of wisdom to share. This is my life and journey. Forever and Evie.
